Hickory Lane Fiber Co. was established in the summer of 2018 when I fell into a major burn out from making faux fur poms. On a whim, I bought a stock pot, some dyes and bare yarn to experiment with. At the time, there wasn't much, if any, information/tutorials available so dyeing yarn was a huge trial and error and many, many failed attempts experiment for me and my wallet. Not giving up, I eventually developed my own recipes and techniques in my home's small kitchen using my 4 burner stove which only 2 were working at the time. 3 years and many magical collections later, Hickory Lane Fiber Co. has officially moved out of my home and into a 350sq ft studio located in the beautiful, historical Hawley Silk Mill.
While I dye everything from soft pastels to deep moody tones, I recently fell in love (and it seems as though you all did, too!) with dyeing neutrals after developing the Fall Favorites Collection. I absolutely love a good tonal, too!
When I'm not in the studio, I enjoy spending time with my husband Jason, daughter Rainey and our 4 dogs who I'm sure you've all come to all know and love over the years. They're quite a handful! :)
From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for being here and supporting my small business. When you support a small business, you are supporting a dream. And my big dreams would not be possible with out you!
